Notes on this record
How the lists were read, and what could not be.
- Candidates from the Town's election site, one page per office (e.g. https://elections.ajax.ca/voters/offices-to-be-elected-mayor, ...-ward-1-regional-councillor, ...-ward-3-local-councillor), read 2026-10-09; entries marked 'Withdrawn' are excluded. The pages print each candidate's qualifying street and telephone: neither is copied.
- The candidates landing page (https://elections.ajax.ca/en/candidates/candidates.aspx) returned HTTP 403 to automated fetch; the per-office pages were reachable and used instead.
- Mayor Shaun Collier is not on the 2026 mayoral list. Regional Councillor Marilyn Crawford runs for Mayor; Local Councillor Rob Tyler-Morin runs for Ward 1 Regional Councillor; Sterling Lee seeks re-election in Ward 2 Regional; Nancy Henry seeks re-election as Ward 2 Local. Joanne Dies (Ward 3 Regional) and Lisa Bower (Ward 3 Local) are not on the lists.
- Free-mail addresses are kept only where the mailbox names the campaign; others left null.
- Nomination papers were not opened: they carry home addresses. No phone numbers recorded; emails only where official (@municipality) or clearly campaign addresses.
