Notes on this record
How the lists were read, and what could not be.
- Certified list: Clerk's Official List of Certified Candidates dated 2026-08-24 (PDF via CivicWeb, document 151070; retrieved 2026-10-09). The list prints each candidate's qualifying (home) address; addresses are not copied and the downloaded copy was deleted. Names printed in capitals are shown in title case.
- No mayor/council race was acclaimed (Ward 1: 5 candidates for 3 seats; Ward 2: 4 for 3). School-trustee acclamations on the list are not captured.
- Sitting council from the Town's CivicWeb members portal (term 2022-11-29 to 2026-11-14). The portal does not give each councillor's ward, so sitting seats are null. Wayne Wiggins was appointed Deputy Mayor by resolution for 2024-2026 (he sits as a councillor; the 2026 ballot has no Deputy Mayor office). Kevin Lawrence was appointed 2024-05-27.
- Councillor Tracy McGibbon is running for Mayor. Mayor Paul Jenkins, Deputy Mayor Wayne Wiggins, Kevin Lawrence and Charles Mullett are not on the certified list.
- Voting is by internet and telephone; candidate websites/emails are not on the list.
