Notes on this record
How the lists were read, and what could not be.
- Bolton is not a municipality: it is a community in the Town of Caledon. This record carries the Caledon mayoral race plus Ward 5 (Bolton; 2021 population 24,790 under Ward Boundary By-law 2021-62) and the Regional Councillor seat for Wards 4, 5 & 6. Parts of Bolton's rural fringe may fall in Ward 4 (Councillor Nick de Boer; candidates Cheryl Connors, Pat Fortini, Heather French, Paul Parete) — not verified against the ward map, so Ward 4 is not carried.
- Tony Rosa, sitting Ward 5 Councillor, is the only certified candidate for Regional Councillor, Wards 4, 5 & 6 and was ACCLAIMED (s. 37(1) MEA); Ward 5 is therefore an open seat.
- Sitting Regional Councillor Mario Russo (Wards 4-6) runs for Mayor, as does Regional Councillor Christina Early (Wards 1-3; not carried as a sitting member here because her seat does not cover Bolton). Mayor Annette Groves is not on the 2026 mayoral list.
- The certified list prints names only; no websites or emails. Councillor emails were not shown on the council page and are left null.
- Nomination papers were not opened: they carry home addresses. No phone numbers recorded; emails only where official (@municipality) or clearly campaign addresses.
