Notes on this record

How the lists were read, and what could not be.

  • Ridings covering the municipality (share of its land area on a sample grid, not population — Represent census subdivision outline vs Élections Québec's 2026 riding map): La Pinière 92.0%; Pierre-Laporte 6.7%. Slivers under 3.0% ignored: Chambly 0.4%, La Prairie 0.1%, Vachon 0.0%.
  • La Pinière: Linda Caron (PLQ/QLP) elected with 17,248 votes, 50.05%, ahead of Sarah Plante (PQ, 14.42%) by 12,279 votes (35.63 points). Linda Caron was an outgoing MNA (re-elected).
  • Pierre-Laporte: David Bowles (PLQ/QLP) elected with 14,535 votes, 42.89%, ahead of Anne-Sophie Maguire Armand (PQ, 21.74%) by 7,168 votes (21.15 points). No outgoing MNA ran in this riding (per Élections Québec's candidate file); the source does not say who held the seat before the 2026 map or whether they retired.
  • Results are validated: Source flags isResultatsFinaux=true for all 127 ridings (official results after the recensement des votes), last updated 2026-10-08T10:13:52,000-04:00. Élections Québec states the Rapport des résultats officiels du scrutin prevails over web content; judicial recounts, if any, are not reflected here.
  • Riding map: Élections Québec's 2026 map (https://donnees.electionsquebec.qc.ca/autres/geojson/circ_2026_sanseau.json, 127 ridings). Represent (represent.opennorth.ca) carries only the 2017 Quebec map (used in 2018 and 2022); its 2017 riding at this centre is La Pinière.
  • Municipal council from Ville de Brossard's Élus municipaux page (https://brossard.ca/elus-municipaux/) and each member's page (sourceDetail), retrieved 2026-10-09: mairesse + 12 district councillors; no municipal party printed (party null). The page carries a banner that it 'sera bientôt actualisée … certaines informations pourraient être erronées ou manquantes' — member bios already reflect the 2025 election (e.g. 'conseillère municipale depuis 2025'; mairesse 'élue … en 2017, 2021 et 2025'). Last general election 2025-11-02 (Quebec fixed date; confirmed on Longueuil/SJSR/Boucherville official pages). Phone numbers not copied.
