Notes on this record

How the lists were read, and what could not be.

  • Federal and provincial representatives only, from a Represent point lookup at the city centre. The municipal council and any candidates are not yet captured.
  • Sitting council from Campbellton Regional Community — Maire et conseil / Mayor and Council (https://nbcampbellton.ca/maire-et-conseil-mayor-and-council/), retrieved 2026-10-09. Since the 2023 local governance reform the City of Campbellton is part of the Campbellton Regional Community (Ward 4 'Campbellton' covers the former city; Wards 1–3 are Tide Head–Glencoe, Atholville–St-Arthur, Val D'Amours); the whole council is listed. MAYOR'S OFFICE VACANT: the council page still lists Mayor Michel Soucy, but the municipality's Publications page (https://nbcampbellton.ca/publications/) announces his sudden death (late September 2026; elected 2026-05-11, sworn in 2026-05-27) — he is NOT added. Deputy Mayor Mathieu Perron's ward is not printed (seat null). No by-election date found yet.
  • Last NB local general election verified as 2026-05-11 (Elections NB 'Local Government Elections May 11, 2026' mailer) — NOT 2025-05-12; the 2025 date in the work brief was wrong.
  • Provincial MLA added from the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick Members Listing (https://www.legnb.ca/en/members/current, retrieved 2026-10-09); riding 'Restigouche West' chosen by a Represent boundary point lookup at the /local centre (the only current-name NB district returned). legnb.ca robots.txt sets crawl-delay 10200, so only the one listing page was fetched.
