Notes on this record
How the lists were read, and what could not be.
- Cap-de-la-Madeleine is a former municipality / sector now inside Trois-Rivières; the riding is the one containing the /local centre point (1307 m from the riding edge). Other parts of the sector may lie in neighbouring ridings.
- Champlain: Adriana Szalontai (PCOQ) elected with 12,690 votes, 29.29%, ahead of René Branchaud (PQ, 28.85%) by 191 votes (0.44 points). No outgoing MNA ran in this riding (per Élections Québec's candidate file); the source does not say who held the seat before the 2026 map or whether they retired.
- Results are validated: Source flags isResultatsFinaux=true for all 127 ridings (official results after the recensement des votes), last updated 2026-10-08T10:13:52,000-04:00. Élections Québec states the Rapport des résultats officiels du scrutin prevails over web content; judicial recounts, if any, are not reflected here.
- Riding map: Élections Québec's 2026 map (https://donnees.electionsquebec.qc.ca/autres/geojson/circ_2026_sanseau.json, 127 ridings). Represent (represent.opennorth.ca) carries only the 2017 Quebec map (used in 2018 and 2022); its 2017 riding at this centre is Champlain.
- Municipal council from Ville de Trois-Rivières's council page — the city Mayor + the councillors for the districts covering former Cap-de-la-Madeleine (https://www.v3r.net/a-propos-de-la-ville/vie-democratique/conseil-municipal/maire-et-conseillers-municipaux, page dated 2 décembre 2025, retrieved 2026-10-09) and each member's fiche (website field). Proclamation notice dated 2025-11-11 (https://www.v3r.net/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Avis-du-resultat-de-lelection.pdf) prints a party only for Édith Lachance (Trois-Rivières ville forte; her fiche prints 'Trois-Rivières Ville Forte'); the others carry no party and are recorded party null / 'None'. Last municipal general election 2025-11-02 (Avis public d'élection – Scrutin du 2 novembre 2025, v3r.net). The record-level election field is left as the 2026 provincial election; council rows carry the 2025 municipal election. Emails are the official @v3r.net addresses on the council page. Fiche self-descriptions were not copied into standsFor (they are city-written profiles, not the members' own statements). Cap-de-la-Madeleine is a former city merged into Trois-Rivières in 2002. Districts kept: de Châteaudun, des Estacades, de la Madeleine — the three 2025 districts lying east of the Saint-Maurice between Saint-Louis-de-France and Sainte-Marthe-du-Cap (also former municipalities with their own districts), judged from the city's open-data 2025 district polygons and popular-quartier polygons (Sainte-Bernadette, Saint-Odilon, Des Ormeaux, Bas-du-Cap; Données Québec, CC-BY 4.0). The /local centre point falls in des Estacades. The former city limits were not checked against district lines, so the Sainte-Marthe or Saint-Louis-de-France districts may take in edges of former Cap-de-la-Madeleine.
