Notes on this record

How the lists were read, and what could not be.

  • Chicoutimi is a former municipality / sector now inside Saguenay; the riding is the one containing the /local centre point (713 m from the riding edge). Other parts of the sector may lie in neighbouring ridings.
  • Chicoutimi: Marie-Karlynn Laflamme (PQ) elected with 11,858 votes, 39.39%, ahead of Gabriella-Myriam Mathieu (PCOQ, 18.34%) by 6,336 votes (21.05 points). Marie-Karlynn Laflamme was an outgoing MNA (re-elected).
  • Results are validated: Source flags isResultatsFinaux=true for all 127 ridings (official results after the recensement des votes), last updated 2026-10-08T10:13:52,000-04:00. Élections Québec states the Rapport des résultats officiels du scrutin prevails over web content; judicial recounts, if any, are not reflected here.
  • Riding map: Élections Québec's 2026 map (https://donnees.electionsquebec.qc.ca/autres/geojson/circ_2026_sanseau.json, 127 ridings). Represent (represent.opennorth.ca) carries only the 2017 Quebec map (used in 2018 and 2022); its 2017 riding at this centre is Chicoutimi.
  • Municipal council from Ville de Saguenay's council page (https://ville.saguenay.ca/la-ville-et-vie-democratique/conseils-municipaux-et-darrondissement/membres-des-conseils, retrieved 2026-10-09). Every member was proclaimed as an independent (no municipal party) per the Avis public du résultat de l’élection dated 2025-11-21 (https://elections.saguenay.ca/files/documents/avis_publics/SM-66-Avis-public-du-r%C3%A9sultat-de-l%C3%A9lection.pdf); Districts 2 and 3 elected without opposition. Last municipal general election 2025-11-02 (confirmed on https://elections.saguenay.ca/resultats). The record-level election field is left as the 2026 provincial election; council rows carry the 2025 municipal election. Emails are the official @ville.saguenay.qc.ca addresses on the council page (Cloudflare-obfuscated on the page, decoded); office phone numbers not copied. Chicoutimi is a former city merged into Saguenay in 2002; this record carries the Mayor of Saguenay + the six councillors of the Arrondissement de Chicoutimi (Districts 7–12), as the council page groups them. The arrondissement also takes in former Laterrière and part of Canton-Tremblay, so it is somewhat larger than former Chicoutimi.
