Notes on this record
How the lists were read, and what could not be.
- Ridings covering the municipality (share of its land area on a sample grid, not population — Represent census subdivision outline vs Élections Québec's 2026 riding map): Granby 100.0%. Slivers under 3.0% ignored: Iberville 0.0%.
- Granby: Jean-François Arsenault (PQ) elected with 13,171 votes, 32.95%, ahead of Claudine Leroux (ÉCF-CAQ, 20.65%) by 4,918 votes (12.3 points). No outgoing MNA ran in this riding (per Élections Québec's candidate file); the source does not say who held the seat before the 2026 map or whether they retired.
- Results are validated: Source flags isResultatsFinaux=true for all 127 ridings (official results after the recensement des votes), last updated 2026-10-08T10:13:52,000-04:00. Élections Québec states the Rapport des résultats officiels du scrutin prevails over web content; judicial recounts, if any, are not reflected here.
- Riding map: Élections Québec's 2026 map (https://donnees.electionsquebec.qc.ca/autres/geojson/circ_2026_sanseau.json, 127 ridings). Represent (represent.opennorth.ca) carries only the 2017 Quebec map (used in 2018 and 2022); its 2017 riding at this centre is Granby.
- Municipal council from Ville de Granby's Membres du conseil municipal page (https://www.granby.ca/fr/ville/conseil-municipal-de-granby/membres-du-conseil-municipal, retrieved 2026-10-09): mairesse + 10 district councillors; no municipal party printed. Emails are the official @granby.ca addresses the page publishes (Cloudflare email-obfuscated on the page; decoded). Last municipal general election 2025-11-02 (Quebec fixed date — first Sunday of November 2025; confirmed on official pages of Ville de Longueuil, Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu and Boucherville). Record-level election left as the 2026 provincial election; council rows carry the 2025 municipal election.
