Notes on this record
How the lists were read, and what could not be.
- Candidates from the town's EL07 List of Certified Candidates (Clerk-signed PDF, a scanned image read by OCR — names corrected against the contact table on the town's Elections page), retrieved 2026-10-09: 4 for Mayor, 18 for Councillor (Wards 1–4, two seats each).
- Grimsby's 2022–2026 representatives on Niagara Regional Council are Mayor Jeff Jordan and Regional Councillor Michelle Seaborn (town Regional Councillors page). The town lists the 2026 offices as Mayor and 8 Councillors only — no separate Regional Councillor contest appears on the certified list. Seaborn is running for Mayor.
- Sitting town councillors who changed wards: Reg Freake (Ward 1) is running in Ward 4, Jacob Baradziej (Ward 4) is running in Ward 3; Veronica Charrois (Ward 3) is running for Mayor. Delight Davoli (Ward 1) is not on the certified list.
- Emails on the town page are kept only where they name the campaign or a campaign domain; plainly personal mailboxes are null.
