Notes on this record
How the lists were read, and what could not be.
- Federal and provincial representatives only, from a Represent point lookup at the city centre. The municipal council and any candidates are not yet captured.
- Municipal council added 2026-10-09 from Halifax Regional Municipality's council page https://www.halifax.ca/city-hall/districts-councillors (whole council: Mayor + 16 district councillors; emails from each district page). Patty Cuttell (District 11) is printed as Deputy Mayor.
- Provincial: all 24 MLAs whose ridings lie wholly or partly inside HRM, from nslegislature.ca/members/profiles (65th Assembly, elected 2024-11-26); ridings.provincial is the centre's riding (Halifax Needham). Emails only where the profile gives an @nsmla.ca address; constituency gmail addresses were left out.
- Last municipal general election 2024-10-19 (Nova Scotia's province-wide municipal election day; date confirmed in HRM's 2024 Municipal Election project review, https://www.halifax.ca/sites/default/files/documents/city-hall/elections/2024_municipalelections_projectreviewandnextelectiondocument_8.5x11-web.pdf). The next is October 2028.
