Notes on this record
How the lists were read, and what could not be.
- Halton Hills (Georgetown, Acton and the rural wards) is a lower-tier town in the Regional Municipality of Halton. The /local region 'Halton Hills (Georgetown)' is the whole Town, so the mayor, both regional-councillor seats and all four wards are included.
- Sitting council (Mayor, 2 Regional Councillors, 8 Local Councillors) from the Town's Elected Officials page, retrieved 2026-10-09.
- Candidates from the Town's Filed Nominations page ('a list of all certified candidates'; acclaimed candidates would carry an *; none on the municipal offices). Phone numbers are not copied; emails are kept only where they read as campaign addresses.
- Several sitting members are running for a different office: Ward 2 Councillor Jason Brass for Mayor; Ward 1 Councillor Alex Hilson for Regional Councillor Wards 1 & 2; Ward 3 Councillor Chantal Garneau and Ward 4 Councillor D’Arcy Keene for Regional Councillor Wards 3 & 4. Regional Councillors Clark Somerville and Jane Fogal are not on the list.
- No Halton Regional Chair race is on the ballot: under the Better Regional Governance Act, 2026 the Province appoints the Halton Regional Chair (https://www.halton.ca/news/media-releases/2026/appointment-of-halton-regional-chair-for-2026-2030).
