How the lists were read, and what could not be.
- Napanee is the principal community of the Town of Greater Napanee, the municipality that holds the election; the whole town's council is carried.
- Candidates from the Clerk's Form EL07 certified list, dated 24 August 2026; emails from the Town's news post of the same list (https://www.greaternapanee.com/news/posts/certified-list-of-2026-election-candidates/), which also prints qualifying home addresses and phones — those are not copied. Free-mail addresses are kept only where the mailbox names the campaign or the town.
- ACCLAIMED: the certified list has a single candidate for Mayor (Terry Richardson, incumbent) and for Ward 1 (Mike Schenk, sitting as Michael Schenk); under s. 37 MEA each is acclaimed. The Town's own post does not use the word 'acclaimed'; Kingstonist reports Richardson acclaimed.
- Ward 3 Councillor Shawn Davey won the Ward 3 by-election (nominations closed 5 December 2025; certified list https://www.greaternapanee.com/media/dvlftdpv/form-el07-list-of-certified-candidates-2026.pdf) and is on the 2026 Ward 3 list. Ward 4 Councillor Bob Norrie is not on the list.
- Deputy Mayor Brian Calver seeks re-election as Deputy Mayor.
- Nomination papers were not opened: they carry home addresses. No phone numbers recorded; emails only where official (@municipality) or clearly campaign addresses.
