Notes on this record
How the lists were read, and what could not be.
- North York is not a municipality: it is a former city amalgamated into Toronto in 1998. This record carries the Toronto mayoral race plus the wards covering former North York: Wards 6, 8, 15, 16, 17 and 18 (the North York Community Council) and Ward 7 Humber River-Black Creek, which lies wholly in former North York but sits on Etobicoke York Community Council. Ward 15 Don Valley West also takes in Leaside (former East York); a slice of Ward 5 York South-Weston is former North York and is not included.
- Candidates are the Clerk's certified list, read from the data file behind the candidate-list page (https://www.toronto.ca/data/elections/candidate_list/mayorCandidates_2026.json and councilorCandidates_2026.json), status 'Active' only; withdrawn candidates excluded. Phone numbers on the list are not copied; free-mail addresses kept only where the mailbox names the campaign.
- Councillor emails left null (not read from the members page); the mayor's office address is the City's published one.
- Nomination papers were not opened: they carry home addresses. No phone numbers recorded; emails only where official (@municipality) or clearly campaign addresses.
