Notes on this record
How the lists were read, and what could not be.
- Candidates from the City's certified list PDF (s. 35(2) MEA), dated 24 August 2026, linked from https://www.oshawa.ca/news/posts/list-of-certified-candidates-for-the-2026-municipal-school-board-elections/. The list prints names only (no websites or emails).
- Sitting members not on the ballot: John Neal (Ward 1 Regional & City) does not appear on the certified list; Mayor Dan Carter does not appear on the mayoral list.
- Several sitting members run for a different seat: Derek Giberson and Jim Lee (City Councillors) and Tito-Dante Marimpietri (Ward 2 Regional & City) run for Mayor; Bradley Marks (Ward 3 City Councillor) runs for Ward 2 Regional & City Councillor.
- School trustee candidates are on the same list and are not carried here; the French-language trustees (Viamonde, MonAvenir) were acclaimed.
