Notes on this record
How the lists were read, and what could not be.
- Picton is a community in the single-tier County of Prince Edward, not a separate municipality. This record covers the County Mayor (elected at large, including Picton) and Ward 1 – Picton councillors only; the other wards are omitted.
- Ward 2 – Bloomfield/Hallowell Councillor Brad Nieman is included because he runs for Mayor, an at-large office on the Picton ballot.
- Candidates from the Clerk's Official List of Certified Candidates web page and Form EL07 (PDF, https://www.thecounty.ca/wp-content/uploads/2026/08/2026-Election-Form-EL07-Certified-List-of-Candidates.pdf), read 2026-10-09; the list prints names in capitals (normalised here) and some home addresses and telephone numbers, which are not copied.
- Sitting council from the County's Council page, read 2026-10-09. Mayor Steve Ferguson is not on the 2026 list. Both Ward 1 – Picton councillors (Kate MacNaughton, Phil St-Jean) seek re-election; four candidates contest the two seats. No Picton or mayoral office was acclaimed (Ward 3 Wellington was).
- Free-mail addresses kept only where the mailbox names the campaign; others left null. Nomination papers were not opened.
