Notes on this record
How the lists were read, and what could not be.
- Port Hope is the whole municipality: the mayor race and both wards are included.
- Every sitting member shown on the council page is on the ballot. Mayor Olena Hankivsky faces sitting Ward 1 Councillor Todd Attridge among five mayoral candidates; sitting Ward 2 Councillor Vicki Mink is running in Ward 1.
- The council page lists four Ward 1 and two Ward 2 councillors plus the Mayor. The Deputy Mayor rotates among councillors and is not a separate elected office. The page's Deputy Mayor schedule names a Councillor Collins who is not in the current member list; not pursued.
- Names as printed on the certified list (surnames converted from upper case); websites and campaign emails from the municipality's Meet the Candidates page, which also publishes each candidate's own platform message — standsFor left null under this pass's rule (campaign sites only).
- Addresses and phone numbers on Meet the Candidates are not copied; personal-looking mailboxes left null.
- No acclamations for Mayor or council (three trustee seats were acclaimed; trustees not captured). Sitting-member emails are behind a script on the council page and were not captured.
