How the lists were read, and what could not be.
- Port Perry is not a municipality: it is the main community of the Township of Scugog. The Township's own ward layer (ArcGIS 'Scugog Ward Boundaries - Public', owner ScugogAdministrator) puts the /local centre point (44.10127, -78.946724) and north/central Port Perry in Ward 5 and south Port Perry in Ward 2; points about 1.5 km west of the centre (toward Prince Albert) fall in Ward 1. This record carries the Scugog mayoral race, the at-large Regional Councillor seat, and Wards 2 and 5. Ward 1 (Councillor David Le Roy, running again vs Scott Blachar) is not carried; it may take in Port Perry's western fringe.
- The certified list prints surnames in capitals; names here are in normal case (Ian McDougall, David Le Roy).
- Sitting members running for a different office or ward: Regional Councillor Ian McDougall runs for Mayor against Mayor Wilma Wotten; Ward 5 Councillor Terry Coyne runs for Regional Councillor; Ward 2 Councillor Janna Guido runs in Ward 5 (runningSeat Ward 5). Ward 2 is therefore an open seat. No council seat was acclaimed; the Durham Catholic DSB, Viamonde and MonAvenir trustees were acclaimed (not carried).
