Notes on this record

How the lists were read, and what could not be.

  • Ridings covering the municipality (share of its land area on a sample grid, not population — Represent census subdivision outline vs Élections Québec's 2026 riding map): Groulx 99.6%. Slivers under 3.0% ignored: Blainville 0.4%.
  • Groulx: Marie-Claude Sarrazin (PQ) elected with 11,742 votes, 32.17%, ahead of Julie Tourangeau (PLQ/QLP, 23.62%) by 3,121 votes (8.55 points). Outgoing MNA Eric Girard (ÉCF-CAQ) ran here and was defeated, placing 3 of 6 with 17.74%.
  • Results are validated: Source flags isResultatsFinaux=true for all 127 ridings (official results after the recensement des votes), last updated 2026-10-08T10:13:52,000-04:00. Élections Québec states the Rapport des résultats officiels du scrutin prevails over web content; judicial recounts, if any, are not reflected here.
  • Riding map: Élections Québec's 2026 map (https://donnees.electionsquebec.qc.ca/autres/geojson/circ_2026_sanseau.json, 127 ridings). Represent (represent.opennorth.ca) carries only the 2017 Quebec map (used in 2018 and 2022); its 2017 riding at this centre is Groulx.
  • Municipal council from Ville de Sainte-Thérèse's Conseil municipal page (https://www.sainte-therese.ca/ville/democratie/conseil-municipal, 'Membres du conseil municipal 2025-2029', retrieved 2026-10-09): Mayor + 8 district councillors. Party as printed in the city's 2025-11-04 release 'Résultats officiels de l'élection municipale du 2 novembre' (https://www.sainte-therese.ca/nouvelles-municipales/administration/resultats-officiels-de-lelection-municipale-du-2-novembre-sainte-therese), which confirms the 2025-11-02 election: Mayor and 4 councillors Parti citoyen, 4 councillors Parti thérésien (the city prints only these short names). The council page spells 'Heloïse Bélanger'; the release spells 'Héloïse'. Official @sainte-therese.ca emails kept. Record-level election field left as the 2026 provincial election.
