Notes on this record
How the lists were read, and what could not be.
- Ridings covering the municipality (share of its land area on a sample grid, not population — Represent census subdivision outline vs Élections Québec's 2026 riding map): Champlain 40.7%; Maskinongé 37.5%; Trois-Rivières 21.6%. Slivers under 3.0% ignored: Laviolette-Saint-Maurice 0.0%.
- Trois-Rivières: Jean Pellerin (PQ) elected with 10,107 votes, 27.1%, ahead of Christine Fréchette (ÉCF-CAQ, 25.76%) by 499 votes (1.34 points). Outgoing MNA Christine Fréchette (ÉCF-CAQ) ran here and was defeated, placing 2 of 8 with 25.76%.
- Champlain: Adriana Szalontai (PCOQ) elected with 12,690 votes, 29.29%, ahead of René Branchaud (PQ, 28.85%) by 191 votes (0.44 points). No outgoing MNA ran in this riding (per Élections Québec's candidate file); the source does not say who held the seat before the 2026 map or whether they retired.
- Maskinongé: Isabelle Blais (PQ) elected with 11,099 votes, 31.96%, ahead of Marc-André Cloutier (PCOQ, 27.04%) by 1,709 votes (4.92 points). Outgoing MNA Simon Allaire (ÉCF-CAQ) ran here and was defeated, placing 3 of 9 with 19.67%.
- Results are validated: Source flags isResultatsFinaux=true for all 127 ridings (official results after the recensement des votes), last updated 2026-10-08T10:13:52,000-04:00. Élections Québec states the Rapport des résultats officiels du scrutin prevails over web content; judicial recounts, if any, are not reflected here.
- Riding map: Élections Québec's 2026 map (https://donnees.electionsquebec.qc.ca/autres/geojson/circ_2026_sanseau.json, 127 ridings). Represent (represent.opennorth.ca) carries only the 2017 Quebec map (used in 2018 and 2022); its 2017 riding at this centre is Trois-Rivières.
- Municipal council from Ville de Trois-Rivières's council page — Mayor + 14 district councillors (https://www.v3r.net/a-propos-de-la-ville/vie-democratique/conseil-municipal/maire-et-conseillers-municipaux, page dated 2 décembre 2025, retrieved 2026-10-09) and each member's fiche (website field). Proclamation notice dated 2025-11-11 (https://www.v3r.net/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/Avis-du-resultat-de-lelection.pdf) prints a party only for Édith Lachance (Trois-Rivières ville forte; her fiche prints 'Trois-Rivières Ville Forte'); the others carry no party and are recorded party null / 'None'. Last municipal general election 2025-11-02 (Avis public d'élection – Scrutin du 2 novembre 2025, v3r.net). The record-level election field is left as the 2026 provincial election; council rows carry the 2025 municipal election. Emails are the official @v3r.net addresses on the council page. Fiche self-descriptions were not copied into standsFor (they are city-written profiles, not the members' own statements).
