Notes on this record
How the lists were read, and what could not be.
- Wasaga Beach is a lower-tier town in Simcoe County with an at-large council; the /local region is the whole town.
- Sitting council from the Town's Mayor & Council page (retrieved 2026-10-09); candidates from the Town's elections page, which reproduces the list the Clerk certified on 2026-08-24 (PDF linked in election.certifiedListPdf). Phone numbers are not copied; candidate emails kept only where they read as campaign addresses.
- Every sitting member is on the ballot again: Mayor Brian Smith, Deputy Mayor Tanya Snell, and all five councillors (Councillor 'Sasha-Rose Dileo' on the council page = 'Sasha Rose Dileo' on the candidate list).
- No Simcoe County office is on the Wasaga Beach ballot (the Mayor and Deputy Mayor sit on County Council ex officio; the Better Regional Governance Act, 2026 lists Simcoe County among the heads of council the Province appoints).
