Notes on this record
How the lists were read, and what could not be.
- Waterdown is not a municipality: it is a community in the City of Hamilton (former Town of Flamborough). The City's OpenHamilton 'Ward Boundaries' layer puts the /local centre point (43.332732, -79.89687) and test points across Waterdown in Ward 15. This record carries the Hamilton mayoral race plus Ward 15 (sitting councillor and candidates).
- Ward 15 Councillor Ted McMeekin is running again in Ward 15. Mayor Andrea Horwath is running again.
- Candidate list from hamilton.ca's Certified Candidates page (retrieved 2026-10-09). Candidates marked WITHDRAWN there are excluded. The page prints some candidates' home addresses and phone numbers — neither copied. Its candidate email addresses are hidden behind Cloudflare email obfuscation; they were not decoded, so candidate emails are null. The page gives no websites.
- Sitting council from hamilton.ca's Mayor page and ward pages (2026-10-09); official councillor emails from the City's OpenHamilton 'Ward Boundaries' feature service (EMAIL field). No mayor email was printed on the Mayor page.
- Ward 8 Councillor Rob Cooper is a certified candidate for Mayor; school trustee candidates are not captured. No Hamilton council seat was acclaimed.
